Alan,

Thank you. I agree with you -- and I think that if we put a conscious effort into following an even stronger discipleship model, it would work better yet. Your web site looks great.

Hi Tammy,

Excellent and touching article! You are a gifted writer. Homeschool works because in many ways it follows the discipleship approach of Jesus.

Blessings, Alan

Lauren,

Thank you! Several homeschool groups have staged Mr. Pointy Nose and Mr. Pointy Nose Returns as plays -- with parents playing the adult roles (that would be motivation for memorizing :-)). I don't imagine a real judge would let someone go on like that, but I think it's still very important for us to flesh out exactly where we stand on the freedom to homeschool. Again -- thanks much!

One of our homeschooling group members posted links to your stories on our site. I'm so glad she did! I could completely relate to the values of the homeschooling family in your story, and I'm tempted to memorize "mother's" argument for freedom--just in case ;--). Thanks.

Keith,

Thank you. Many times I've been so thankful that I homeschooled from the start, especially when I talk to the several hundred new homeschoolers every year who call for help because they must repair the damage done by public schools. My heart breaks for them, but at least they're taking action -- and there's always hope.

Thank You!

"Encourage & Inspire" is an exceedingly appropriate category for your article.

Blessings and warm regards,

Tammy,

Thank you for sharing these two stories. I daresay my children would not be quite so kindhearted to those officers of the state. Regardless, it was very instructive and heart-warming to hear those statements. Perhaps our best argument of all is the compliments we receive when we are able to take them out in public, and receive compliments regarding how well-behaved they are. I praise God Kelly and I chose to home school from the beginning.
