Prizes

Grand Prize: $100 and sidebar button (1st spot) on site for six months
2nd Prize: $75 and sidebar button (2nd spot) on website for six months
3rd Prize: $50 and sidebar button (3rd spot) on website for six months

Contest Deadline: May 13, 2009 to May 31, 2009 at midnight

Rules

Review "For Authors" guidelines and register to be an author at Homeschool-Articles.com (if you haven't already). Current authors and new authors are both eligible. Only articles submitted between May 13 and May 31, 2009 will count toward the prizes.
Complete your profile after you have registered. This includes name, a bio (125 words or less), link to your website, and a picture (avatar) for our author's page.
Submit as many articles as possible that meet our article guidelines as outlined on the "For Authors" page. Only articles that meet our article criteria will be accepted.
Tell other homeschool authors about this contest. You can do this a number of ways:
- Announce the contest on your blog and/or website or in your newsletter.
- Refer other homeschool authors. Tell them to email me when they sign up and that they were referred by you to get credit for each one. After they have posted their first article, you will receive credit for their signup.
- Place our Homeschool-Articles.com widget on your website. (Code can be obtained through the widget in the right sidebar.)
- Place a link to Homeschool-Articles.com on your website.
- Email your mailing list about the contest.
- Tweet this on Twitter.
For each of the items in #4 above, please send me verification, i.e., a copy of your newsletter or email to your mailing list, where you have placed the Homeschool-Articles.com widget, etc. To verify Tweets, make sure you put @hsarticles in the tweet itself.
For each article submitted, accepted, and posted on the Homeschool-Articles.com website, you will receive 2 points. For each referral or announcement, you will receive one point.
At the end of the contest, Homeschool-Articles.com will tally up the points and award the prizes to the three hightest point total winner. We will announce the winners via email and on the website on June 5, 2009.

Contest Terms

There is no entry fee required for submissions.
All decisions are final.
Homeschool-Articles.com is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible e-mail or for any computer-related, online, or technical malfunctions that may occur in the submission process.
Submissions are considered void if they are not the author's original work, illegible, incomplete, damaged, irregular, altered, counterfeit, produced in error, or obtained through fraud or theft. Unaltered PLR articles may not be submitted.
Submissions will be considered made by an authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of registration.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be paid via Paypal. Buttons for placement on website must be submitted to Homeschool-Articles.com within 10 days of end of contest.
All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the Contest winners.
