In the 70’s, Roma Cox worked as a para-professional in the public school system. She was part of a government funded program called Follow Through in which she was trained by psychologists on how to work with the children. During that time, she was given her first eight children who were expected to fail because they had not learned to read as had their peers. applying what she had been taught, all eight learned to read & seven graduated with their class. Since then she has helped many children learn to read. Currently she is a public and private tutor, gives workshops for parent/ educators, writes articles, and has developed some excellent game type curriculum.
